7th Symposium on Aerothermodynamics for Space Vehicles

Open Engineering will give a presentation at the 7th Symposium on Aerothermodynamics for Space Vehicles to be held 9-12 May 2011 in Site Oud Sint-Jan in Brugge, Belgium.

The subject of our talk will be "A Strongly Coupled Staggered Approach to Solve Fluid-Structure-Interaction Problems with Thermal and Dynamical Couplings" .

Traditional CFD simulations require highly sensitive settings to obtain converging and reproduceable results and the traditional combination with Multiphysics applications proves to add an even bigger hurdle.

In our talk we will show how you can overcome these problems by using the advanced technological capabilities of the FINE/Oofelie FSI software.: A strongly coupled approach for FSI simulations yields to better convergence and accuracy.
